In 2023, the SCBO Wellington Chapter celebrated Earth Day by bringing together 5 fantastic speakers to share optimistic stories about their work in conservation. Talks were hosted by Zealandia-Te Māra a Tāne, an urban ecosanctuary in Wellington.

Surrounded by native bush and birdsong, we were inspired by stories and perspectives from Kia mauriora te Kaiwharawhara, Predator-Free Wellington, Sustainable Coastlines, and Victoria University of Wellington’s School of Biological Sciences. We thank the speakers who gave their time and everyone who came along and made the day a success. We look forward to Earth Day 2024.
