Hannah Zimmerman, a student from Boise State University in the US is requesting assistance from SCB members with a survey on how vulnerable wildlife are to anthropogenic night light and noise.
As part of a larger study from Boise State University, California Polytechnic State, and Utah State Universities and with support from NASA and National Park Services, the objective of this study is to quantify the importance of specific biological traits that may contribute to wildlife vulnerability to anthropogenic night light and noise (ANLN). We are soliciting responses from wildlife experts across a diverse range of fields. Those with backgrounds in animal behavior, animal physiology, wildlife ecology, or sensory ecology or those with ~3 or more years of study/experience with a particular vertebrate species/genus/taxon are encouraged to participate.
The survey should only take participants 15-20 minutes from start to finish. The survey can be found here.
