Over 900 delegates attended the conference of the Ecological Society of Australia and the Society for Conservation Biology Oceania in Wollongong, NSW, Australia from 28 November to 2 December 2022. Attached is a statement agreed to by the delegates, which includes three resolutions to Australian governments and communities focussed on action and investment to address fundamental drivers of the biodiversity and climate crises, and a call for more collaboration between peak environmental science organisations to provide scientific advice to address Australia’s most pressing environmental problems.
