Society for Conservation Biology Oceania sponsorship guidelines

SCBO has limited funds, but the Board will consider requests to sponsor events or activities that meet the objectives of the Section and the Society more broadly.

Requests will be considered from SCBO chapters or other groups/events that align with the Section’s objectives.

Such events may include local conferences and outreach and fundraising activities (e.g. film nights, panel events).

Sponsorship may be in the form of cash (e.g. sponsoring a symposium), or goods or services (e.g. discounted SCBO membership or merchandise). The maximum amount that can be offered is AU$2,000, or goods or services up to that value.

Sponsorship opportunities will be assessed by the Board in terms of how opportunities align with the SCBO Strategic Plan.

Requests for sponsorship should be made to the SCBO board in writing, accompanied by information on sponsorship packages available (or the nature/amount of sponsorship requested), and how the event/activity aligns with SCBO’s objectives. A decision will be made at the next bi-monthly board meeting, and is at the discretion of the board.
