Mark Hall is a Research Fellow with the Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment at Western Sydney University. He is interested in landscape, community and agro-ecology and has a fondness for native bees. He works in pollination ecology, primarily investigating the efficiency and behavior of native stingless bees in the pollination of crops on farmland and in glasshouses. He is particularly interested in plant-pollinator interactions and finding ways to better conserve diverse pollinator communities in and around farmland. He regularly engages farmers and the public on ways to promote bees by providing floral-rich gardens, nest sites and improving farming practices.
